About Journal

Modern Applied Science (MAS) is an international, double-anonymized peer-reviewed, open-access journal, published by the Canadian Center of Science and Education. Dedicated to advancing global applied science research, the journal serves as a high-quality academic platform for scholars, engineers, and industry professionals worldwide to disseminate original, innovative, and translational research findings across all branches of applied science. It accepts rigorous original research articles, applied technical studies, and educational research papers that contribute novel insights, practical applications, and developmental progress to the applied science discipline.

Authors are encouraged to submit complete, unpublished, original works that are not under review in any other journals. The online version is free to access and download.

Focus and Scope

Modern Applied Science is a multidisciplinary journal for validated scientific and technological solutions to real-world problems. Its scope is organized into four areas:

• Applied Physical and Materials Sciences covers applied physics, chemistry, mechanics, and functional materials. 
• Engineering and Technology covers civil, electrical, mechanical, energy, environmental, aerospace, precision-measurement, agricultural, and biological engineering. 
• Computational Applications covers applied mathematics, statistics, modeling, simulation, optimization, and computer or information science used to create or evaluate practical solutions. 
• Applied Biosystems and Human-Centered Technologies covers food, fisheries, forestry, agricultural systems, ergonomics, sports engineering, and nonclinical health technologies when the contribution is scientific or technological. 

Research articles and methods papers must define a concrete application or operational need, contribute a new or materially improved method, model, material, device, process, or system, and validate it through experiments, field evidence, benchmark comparisons, or reproducible computation. Single-discipline studies are eligible when they make a meaningful applied advance that is generalizable beyond the immediate case or demonstrably significant within the application field. Reviews must critically synthesize a defined applied-science problem. Interdisciplinary claims must explain what is integrated and why the integration improves the solution or understanding. 

Exclusions: The journal excludes purely descriptive studies, routine uses of established tools, unvalidated concepts, clinical or public-health investigations without a technological contribution, and general management or policy research.
