About Journal
Journal of Management and Sustainability (JMS) is an international, double‑anonymized peer‑reviewed, open‑access journal published by the Canadian Center of Science and Education. The journal publishes original research articles, applied studies, and educational articles in the fields of management, sustainability, and their intersection.
Authors are encouraged to submit complete, original, unpublished manuscripts that are not under review by any other journal. All published articles are freely available online.
Focus and Scope
Journal of Management and Sustainability advances research on the management of sustainability and the long-term sustainability of organizations. It publishes original studies, reviews, theoretical work, and methodological contributions concerning sustainable strategy, organizational governance, responsible leadership, stakeholder management, green operations, sustainable supply chains, circular business models, sustainability accounting and reporting, ESG and impact finance, social entrepreneurship, climate risk, and organizational resilience.
Cross-disciplinary research drawing on environmental science, economics, sociology, law, public policy, engineering, or data science is eligible only when all four conditions are met: the unit of analysis includes organizations, managers, organizationally relevant markets, or interorganizational systems; the paper states a specific management or organizational problem; the findings make a demonstrable contribution to management theory, decision-making, governance, or practice; and the sustainability analysis is explicitly linked to organizational mechanisms, decisions, or outcomes. Policy studies must trace effects on organizational choices or stakeholder relationships.
The journal does not consider pure environmental monitoring, life-cycle or engineering optimization without managerial analysis, national sustainability-index construction, general social-attitude surveys, descriptive CSR or ESG inventories, or macroeconomic studies that do not explain organizational mechanisms or management consequences.
