Abstract
The Bunu Yao Zhuzhu Festival, rooted in Miluotuo culture, is an important form of intangible cultural heritage representing the collective memory and cultural identity of the Bunu Yao people in Guangxi, China. In the digital era, video media has become a key tool for cultural dissemination and heritage education. This study aims to examine the historical development of the Bunu Yao Festival, analyze the current situation and challenges of its dissemination through video media, and explore strategies for promoting cultural tourism. A qualitative approach was adopted, including literature review, field observation, interviews, and group discussions conducted in Du’an Yao Autonomous County. The findings indicate that video-based communication can expand the visibility of the festival and enhance cultural heritage education, although challenges such as limited cultural interpretation and fragmented dissemination remain. The study highlights the potential of video media to support the preservation, transmission, and sustainable development of ethnic cultural heritage.
