About Journal

The International Journal of Biology is a double-anonymized peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Canadian Center of Science and Education. It publishes original research, applied research, and educational articles spanning all areas of biology.

The journal welcomes complete, original, and unpublished manuscripts that are not under consideration elsewhere. All accepted articles are made freely available online upon publication.


Focus and Scope

International Journal of Biology publishes original research advancing fundamental understanding of living systems from molecules to ecosystems. Core areas include biochemistry and molecular biology; cell and developmental biology; genetics, genomics, and epigenetics; physiology, neurobiology, and immunology; microbiology and virology; structural biology; plant biology and zoology; evolution, ecology, behavioral biology, systematics, biogeography, conservation biology, aquatic and marine biology, environmental biology, and reproductive biology. Interdisciplinary approaches in biophysics, computational biology, bioinformatics, and biotechnology are considered when they address a clearly stated biological question with appropriate biological validation. The journal welcomes research articles, methods papers with rigorous validation, concise reviews, and data resources with defined biological utility.

What is e-Version FirstTM

e-Version First is a feature offered through our journal platform. It allows PDF version of manuscripts that have been peer reviewed and accepted, to be hosted online prior to their inclusion in a final printed journal. Readers can freely access or cite the article.
We aim to publish accepted manuscripts in e-Version First in two week's time after the final draft completed.

Each paper published in Journal of Molecular Biology Research is assigned a DOI®number, which appears beneath the author's affiliation in the published paper.
