Abstract

This research aimed to examine the components and indicators of active learning management competency using a Professional Learning Community (PLC) process for teachers in the New Normal era in Chaiyaphum Province, and to evaluate their appropriateness. The research methodology was divided into two phases: Phase 1 involved documentary research and the validation of component and indicator consistency by 7 experts using the Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC). Phase 2 employed both quantitative and qualitative methods, targeting 48 stakeholders, including school administrators and teachers under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in Chaiyaphum, in the academic year 2023. The appropriateness was evaluated and confirmed through educational connoisseurship by 9 purposively selected experts. The instruments consisted of a 5-level Likert-scale evaluation form for assessing the appropriateness of feasibility, utility, and accuracy. Data analysis used percentages, means, and standard deviations, while content analysis was applied to qualitative data. The research findings: 1. The active learning management competency comprises 5 main domains, each containing 10 indicators, totaling 50 indicators : 1) Active learning activity design and lesson planning, 2) Implementation of learning activities through thinking and practicing processes, 3) Utilization of media, technology, learning resources, and instructional innovation, 4) Effective measurement and evaluation for student development, and 5) Leadership and characteristics conducive to active learning management. 2. The overall evaluation results regarding the appropriateness, feasibility, accuracy, and utility were at a high level.
