Abstract

This study proposes the Micro Self-Directed Learning through the Immersive Virtual Environments model, designed to strengthen learners’ computational and creative thinking—two essential competencies in the 21st century. The model integrates three core components: self-directed learning processes, micro-learning sequences, and immersive virtual environments that enable learners to interact with digital spaces and peers through avatars. The purpose of this research was to develop Micro Self-Directed Learning through the Immersive Virtual Environments model as a conceptual and practical framework for enhancing computational and creative thinking. The model was evaluated by experts from various institutions with professional experience in instructional design and learning system development. The findings reveal that the overall appropriateness of the model is rated at the highest level. The results confirm that the proposed model can serve as a guideline for developing immersive micro self-directed learning systems aimed at strengthening computational and creative thinking among learners.
