About Journal
Computer and Information Science (CIS) is an international, double-anonymized peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Canadian Center of Science and Education. The journal is dedicated to the worldwide dissemination of high-quality research across computing and Information Science.
Authors are encouraged to submit complete, original, unpublished manuscripts that are not under review by any other journal. All published articles are freely available online.
Focus and Scope
Computer and Information Science publishes theoretical, empirical, applied, review, and pedagogical work across computing and information science.
Topics within the journal's scope include:

Artificial Intelligence & Data Science: Large language models (LLMs), generative AI, AI‑powered tools and systems, machine learning, data mining, neural networks, knowledge representation, and intelligent systems.

Computer Systems & Networks: Computer architecture, operating systems, communications, wireless technology, cloud computing, and performance evaluation.

Software Engineering & Programming: Software design, programming languages, Object-Oriented Programming, compilers, and formal methods.

Human-Centered Computing: Human-computer interaction, multimedia, web design, and virtual reality.

Security & Informatics: Cybersecurity, cryptology, management information systems, and information resources management.

Theoretical & Applied Computing: Algorithms, theoretical computer science, discrete structures, digital logic, modeling & simulation, numerical analysis, robotics, and CAD/CAM.
Evaluation Criteria for Submissions:
- Original research must make a clear contribution to a computational method, information model, software or hardware system, security property, or human-computer interaction and evaluate it with suitable theory, experiments, benchmarks, case evidence, or user studies.
- Critical and systematic reviews should integrate a defined literature and identify unresolved technical or conceptual questions.
- Pedagogical studies must address the teaching or learning of computing or information science through a transparent research design.
- Interdisciplinary applications are welcome when the computing contribution is substantive and transferable. Routine use of existing tools, descriptive implementation reports, and domain studies with no computing or information-science advance are outside scope.
