Abstract

Many researchers have examined the challenges faced by principals in schools, particularly regarding leadership as reflected in institutional reviews. Effective leadership can improve the quality of schools’ services and the learning experiences provided to their students. This study adopts a quantitative method by comparing and summarizing the recommendations as reported in the Education & Training Quality Authority (BQA) review reports on leadership as one of the main dimensions in evaluating the school’s performance in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The results showed that self-evaluation was most frequently observed by the Education & Training Quality Authority (BQA), followed by professional development for teachers, vision, strategic planning, teacher empowerment, and community services. This study recommends the creation of an internal inspection system as part of the schools’ organizational process.
