Overview: We are pleased to announce a call for papers for the "Improving Sustainability in Business Operations in Developing Economies" special issue of International Business Research. This special issue aims to explore the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing sustainable business practices in developing countries. We invite researchers, academics, and practitioners to submit high-quality original research, reviews, and case studies that shed light on sustainable business operations in emerging economies.

Topics of Interest: Submissions are welcome on a broad range of topics related to sustainability in developing economies, including but not limited to:

  • Sustainable Business Models and Practices: Innovative approaches to sustainability that are adaptable to the unique conditions of developing economies.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Emerging Markets: The role of CSR initiatives in promoting sustainability among businesses operating in these regions.
  • Impact of Regulatory Frameworks on Sustainability: Analysis of how local, national, and international regulations influence the adoption and success of sustainable business practices.
  • Case Studies of Successful Sustainable Business Initiatives: Real-world examples of businesses that have effectively integrated sustainability into their operations in developing economies.
  • Challenges and Solutions for Implementing Sustainable Practices: Identification of barriers to sustainability and proposed practical solutions for overcoming them.
  • Role of Technology in Enhancing Sustainability: Examination of how technological advancements can support sustainable business operations in developing regions.

This special issue seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of sustainability in developing economies, highlighting both achievements and ongoing challenges.

Submission Guidelines: Manuscripts should be submitted online through the International Business Research submission portal. All submissions will undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality research.

  • Manuscripts should conform to the journal’s submission guidelines: http://ibr-author.ccsenet.org
  • Manuscripts should be between 3,000 and 8,000 words.
  • Include a cover letter specifying that the manuscript is for the special issue on "Improving Sustainability in Business Operations in Developing Economies."
  • All manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format.

Guest Editor: Dr. Jonathan Teye

Dr. Jonathan Teye is a distinguished scholar with extensive expertise in accounting and mining. He holds a PhD from Anhui University of Science and Technology and a Master of Science in Accounting from Anhui University of Technology. Dr. Teye has held various academic positions, including his current role as a lecturer, where he teaches in the Department of Business Studies and specializes in Accounting and Auditing. and has a strong commitment to advancing research in the fields of international business and sustainable mining practices. Dr. Teye has several publications to his name and actively contributes to the academic community through his research and teaching.
