About Journal

Environment and Natural Resources Research (ENRR) is an international, double-anonymized peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Canadian Center of Science and Education. The journal publishes original research, comprehensive reviews, and policy analyses across the environmental sciences and natural resource systems.

Focus and Scope

ENRR advances scientific understanding of environmental processes, natural resource dynamics, and sustainability, encompassing both fundamental research and its application to real-world challenges. We welcome contributions from across the natural and engineering sciences, including interdisciplinary work that bridges biophysical and technological dimensions.

The journal covers topics including, but not limited to:

  • Climate change, energy resources, and low-carbon transitions
  • Water resources, water security, and watershed management
  • Biodiversity, ecosystem services, and biological resources
  • Land resources, land use change, and soil conservation
  • Environmental pollution monitoring, dynamics, and remediation
  • Environmental health and exposure science
  • Urban environmental systems and regional sustainable development
  • Ocean resources, marine ecosystems, and coastal zone management
  • Environmental remote sensing and geospatial analysis
  • Ecological restoration and nature-based solutions

The journal also welcomes reviews, perspectives, comments, and editorials. Interdisciplinary approaches, novel methodologies, systems-level perspectives, and research supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are particularly encouraged.
