Journal of Educational and Developmental Psychology

Journal of Educational and Developmental Psychology (JEDP) is an open-access, international, double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by the Canadian Center of Science and Education. The journal features a special focus on educational psychology and developmental psychology. The field of educational psychology includes the effectiveness of educational interventions, the psychology of teaching, and the social psychology of schools as organizations and so on. The coverage of developmental psychology includes the following aspects: motor skills and other psycho-physiological processes; cognitive development involving areas such as problem solving, language acquisition; social, personality, and emotional development; and self-concept and identity formation.

This journal, published semi-annually in both print and online versions, keeps readers up-to-date with the latest developments in educational and developmental psychology.

It is journal policy to publish work deemed by peer reviewers to be a coherent and sound addition to scientific knowledge and to put less emphasis on interest levels, provided that the research constitutes a useful contribution to the field.

Paper Selection and Publication Process

a). Upon receipt of paper submission, the Editor sends an E-mail of confirmation to the corresponding author within 1-3 working days. If you fail to receive this confirmation, your submission/e-mail may be missed. Please contact the Editor in time for that.

b). Peer review. We use double-blind system for peer-review; both reviewers and authors’ identities remain anonymous. The paper will be peer-reviewed by three experts; two reviewers from outside and one editor from the journal typically involve in reviewing a submission. The review process may take 2-3 weeks.

c). Notification of the result of review by E-mail.

d). The authors revise paper and pay publication fee (300USD).

e). After publication, the corresponding author will receive two copies of printed journals, free of charge.

f). E-journal in PDF is available on the journal’s webpage, free of charge for download.

NOTE:

The publisher and journal have a policy of “Zero Tolerance on the Plagiarism”. We check the plagiarism issue through two methods: reviewer check and plagiarism prevention tool (ithenticate.com).

All submissions will be checked by iThenticate before being sent to reviewers.

We are recruiting reviewers for Journal of Educational and Developmental Psychology (JEDP). Every reviewer's name will be list as editor member in the print journal and on the journal's website. Moreover, this is a voluntary job.

If you are interested to be a reviewer, we welcome you to join us. The requirements and instructions of application are as follows:

Requirements:

1.  You must possess a doctoral degree in the specific subject related closely to the journal;

2.  You have mastered English proficiently;

3.  You have published a large number of academic papers;

4.  You could fulfill your task before the deadline (usually within 2 weeks).

Journal of educational and developmental psychology (JEDP) is a new journal in subjects of psychology in educational settings (psychology of teaching, social psychology in school, cognitive development of students etc), developmental psychology throughout the lifespan (intellectual development, cognitive development, motor skill development, language acquisition etc), as well as methodology research in educational and developmental psychology area.
