Abstract


Hemingway is a famous American writer and a spokesman of the Lost Generation. His life attitude of the characters in the novels influenced the whole world. His first masterpiece The Sun Also Rises contributes a lot to the rise of feminism and make the world began to befamiliar with a term: The New Woman through the portrayl of Brett. This paper is aimed to target the source and traits of The New Woman.
