Abstract

The major purpose of this study was to examine the construct validity of English Language Teachers Competency Test (ELT-CT) designed by Pishghadam (2010). In this study, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was used to examine the construct validity of the test. The results have shown that the underlying factors of the test are what the test-designer claims to be. The results have revealed that ten factors represent the underlying structure of ELT-CT. Finally, statistical results were discussed, and implications were provided in the context of English language teaching.
